WHO WE ARE
İHSAN CAN AŞIK
Partnerİhsan Can Aşık specializes in IT Law with an expertise on payment systems and financial technologies, data protection and privacy, e-commerce, intellectual property licensing, anti-money laundering and cyber security. He has a strong background on corporate law, start-ups and investments, employment, telecommunications and sports betting. He is experienced in regulatory compliance and overall digitalization projects.
He has a significant track record on FinTech sector, working with both local and multinational card schemes, payment systems, payment and e-money institutions and other outsource service providers within the sector. He works with various NGOs in FinTech sector concerning policy making and relations with official authorities.
After working at a top tier IT law firm and the largest e-commerce company in Turkey, he founded ASK Legal. İhsan Can graduated from Yeditepe University in Istanbul from a double major program where he obtained a B.A. degree from Political Sciences and International Relations and LL.B. degree from Law Faculty. He joined the Istanbul Bar Association and the Union of Turkish Bars in 2013. He works in Turkish, English and French.
ECEM GÜNDÜZ

Ecem Gündüz specializes in IT law and provides consultancy in the areas of digital transformation, e-commerce, technology transfers, software, intellectual property and data protection. She has a significant background on information and communication technologies, outsourcing transactions and projects and presents this experience to its clients during the processes of creation and interpretation of legal instruments necessary for local and foreign clients in this field.
She has experience in working with both local and multinational companies, including technology services and outsourcing companies, fintech companies, telecommunication companies, software and hardware suppliers and other information society service providers, and assists her clients concerning drafting complex IT contracts (development, licensing, integration, outsourcing) with strong Intellectual Property content, internet legal issues and compliance projects in e-commerce, privacy, data protection and internet regulation.
After working at a top tier IT law firm for years, she joined ASK Legal as a partner. Ecem studied law at the School of Law of Yeditepe University and obtained her LL.M. degree in Business Law from Galatasaray University. She joined the Istanbul Bar Association and the Union of Turkish Bars in 2013. She works in Turkish and English.
